Trash To Treasure by Donna Salazar
Hello my peeps! Today I'm just sharing a photo of a project that I created mostly out of necessity. I have a really cute apothecary jar that I purchased to hold blue gum balls for my grandson, Hunter's baby shower. I've kept wrapped mints or chocolates in it for the last 4 years because I love this thing. Well... my grandson was sneaking some chocolate and hit the lid on the jar in exactly the right way to crack the whole jar... but not shatter it. I didn't want to throw it away because "I can fix that" is always my mantra... LOL! The photo below is the jar after I fixed it.
This is the jar before I fixed it.
I taped along the crack then decoupaged with old book pages inside and out. I added some DecoArt Media paint in my favorite color and threw some Twinkle Dust glitter at the wet paint. I am really happy that I don't have to throw away my jar and now it has a fun story to go with it too.
Thanks for stopping by! Smooches ~D~
