Shabby Flower Card
Hi everyone! It's Tracey here, and I just have to share with you how much fun I've been having using Donna's fabulous new Spellbinders dies, embossing folders and stamps. The card I've created includes handcrafted flowers featuring her new Big Blossom Die. This die is a larger version of Bitty Blossoms and designed so it can be used along with the the Bitty Blossoms flowers to make a larger blossom like I did, or by itself.
Tips and Techniques
To create these gems, I used one each of the three Bitty Blossoms sizes and then added a Big Blossom. Donna was filmed creating a flower similar to these during CHA. It can be viewed HERE.
I've stamped this tiny tag with Donna's new Spellbinders Journal Word Stamps using her Clearsnap Truffle Mix'd Media Inx. This sweet stamp set is jam packed full of tiny typeset words that can be stamped individually or paired together to create phrases.
I mixed Donna's Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Gold Pigment Powder into pearl molding cream to stencil the edges. I had a little left over so used a palette knife to scrape it across the flower petals for added texture and shimmer.
The leafy flourishes are cut with Donna's new Spellbinders Always Remember Stamp/Die Combo. I've inked them with Peridot Mix'd Media Inx.
In this final view, you can see the textile textures created with Donna's Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Lace Ribbons and Girlie Grunge Gauze. To color the gauze, I pressed my Patina Mix'd Media Inx pad on a craft mat several times, then added a small scoop of Blue Pigment Powder and spritzed with water. I pulled the gauze through the color to dye it.
