New Spellbinders Products!
It has been 2 long years since I've had a new product release with Spellbinders but it has been worth the wait!!! I've got TWENTY new items that were just released and I love every single one of them!!! You've seen me using some of the new stuff but now you can see it ALL!!! You will see a TON of little tips going up over the next few weeks and we even have a blog hop for you (date TBA soon!). Today I'm sharing my flowers made with my Bitty Blossoms and the new Big Blossom (with some Jumbo Rose die cuts added in).
Here are some photos of projects using the new flower dies:
The flower above uses my existing Bitty Blossoms Die Set with the new Big Blossoms Die that was designed to coordinate with it to make beautiful big blossoms. I also used my new Jumbo Rose Steel Rule die that was made to coordinate with my existing Rose Creations Die Set for the background flowers.
The flower above also uses the existing Bitty Blossoms Die Set with the new Big Blossoms Die and I made denim and material flowers and a leaf with the Jumbo Rose Steel Rule Die.
And above is one more flower using the existing Bitty Blossoms Die Set with the new Big Blossom Die. Below is a photo of the Big Blossom Die (left) with a photo of the largest Bitty Blossom from the existing die set (right).
And here is how I made these flowers...
Start by cupping each petal of the a die cut using the largest of the Bitty Blossoms and a die cut using the Big Blossom.
Fold a few flower stamens in half and wrap the base with Crafty Power Tape.
Start wrapping the Bitty Blossom around the stamens using the Crafty Power Tape.
When the flower center is done it should look like the photo below. Use a Dodz™3D to secure the tab to the bottom of the flower and press the stamens into the adhesive.
Use a Dodz™ Medium on the pointed end of the Big Blossom die cut.
Adhere to the side of the Bitty Blossom flower and continue rolling.
Secure the tab of the Big Blossom die cut using a Dodz™XL.
Use an embossing stylus or paper piercer to curl the petals of the Big Blossom outward.
This is what your finished flower should look like.
I hope you enjoyed this tip... I'll be sharing several more over the next few weeks.
