1) Start with one of the covers to my Denim Art Journal from the Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® line and add 2 lines of white acrylic paint. 2) Blend the paint as shown in the second photo below... make sure that there is plenty of texture. 3) Tear pieces of dictionary page to fit together in the width of the cover. 4) Use Girlie Grunge Art Medium diluted 1 part water to 2 parts medium to adhere the paper layers together. 5) Cut a strip of Girlie Grunge Gauze that is 2 times as wide as the cover and adhere with the diluted Girlie Grunge Art Medium gathering it to fit with a small amount over the edges of the paper strip. 6) Add a second layer of Girlie Grunge Gauze over the first in the same way then set it aside to dry.
7) Put a small amount of Blue Pigment Powder in the lid and blow it over the wet paint. 8) Mist over the Pigment Powder with water to make it run and blend into the paint. 9) Add a generous amount of watercolor paint (made with my Pigment Powder and Gum Arabic - Link to DIY Watercolors Blog Post) to a paint brush and splatter over the blue. 10) Mist over the brown splatters with water to make the splatters run.
