Hot summer days make me feel exhausted: however, it's already July. How fast time goes by, I can't believe it. During the past 2 weeks of heat it was so very difficult for me to create something big, so I am playing with cards. Many of you have asked me how I have created the flower for this recent card seen HERE. So I decided to make a video tutorial and to add some variations and improvements for my flower.
This is quite a simple card with some of my fave techniques that I like to use lately - embossed background, big fabric flower, and cascading embellishments.
I also made some light coloring on my background, you can check it in my video clip. I combined mist and pigment ink.
But the main focus on this card is the fabric flower, for sure, that I made using Donna's Spellbinders Jumbo Rose Steel Rule Die.
Please be sure to check the details in my video here:
As you see, it's quite easy to recreate. I covered the fabric dies with Donna's Art Gel, as I wanted the fabric to be more firm and flexible to create the flower and the petals. You can try it, it works really great.
